Emily S. Chou, a partner with the Firm, has over 20 years of practice experience in the areas of business reorganization, creditors’ rights, and commercial litigation. She has extensive experience representing official creditors’ committees and post-confirmation liquidation / litigation trustees in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases all over the United States. She also routinely represented secured and unsecured creditors, including mortgage lenders, equipment lessors, information technology services providers, food manufacturers, utility providers, commercial property landlords, oil and gas exploration and services entities, and commercial construction contractors in complex Chapter 11 cases. Just prior to joining the Firm, she served as law clerk to the Honorable Edward L. Morris at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
