Kudos to Forshey Prostok partner Deirdre Brown for her continued advocacy on behalf of the official committee of royalty owners in the ongoing Chesapeake Energy Corp. bankruptcy.

Debtwire reported on Monday’s Opening Statements, noting Brown is pushing for more equitable treatment for the royalty owners. The royalty owners committee was tasked with being a voice for the smaller royalty owners and is also represented by Forshey Prostok’s Jeff Prostok, Robert Forshey, Suzanne “Suki” Rosen, and Michael “Mickey” Ricketts.

As of December 17, Brown reported to the Court that the Royalty Committee and Debtors are in settlement talks.
